Mike Modano will most likely be here on December 12th. I absolutely cannot wait!

It has been a very sad week so far. My friend's dad passed away and it has been very upsetting recently, but things will get better in time.
Rest In Peace, Carl.
In other news, my job is completely insane right now...it is such a gong show. And someone called me racist because I told them to stop using ethnic slurs. Nice, real nice. Sorry if I don't speak "ebonics".
I haven't played hockey in awhile, but hopefully I will play on Sunday. Fingers crossed! I need to start scoring some goals with my awesome gloves.
Trailer Park Boys are in town, but it's too pricey for me. I would have loved to have seen Bubbles though. Sandbox FOREVER!

Holy schiessa! It's been quite awhile since I was last here, but I think I am going to start using this a bunch more. I was just at a band site and they had movie reviews, and since I watch movies, I figured I might want to start writing my comments too.
News with me??
Work? Currently working for a certain online auction site.
Hockey? The level of play is not very exciting, however, my new Eagle gloves are friggin fantastic so that makes up for it.
Music? I'm diggin Franz Ferdinand, Maroon 5, The Killers and Robbie Williams (ofcourse) right now. Still groovin to Guster and Sloan though.
Movies? Last one I watched at home was Bridget Jones...always a favourite. That movie never gets old. Last one I saw in theatres...either Garden State or Napoleon Dynamite. I've seen Napoleon 4 times so I'm not sure if Garden State is in there or followed after.
TV? The Race is over, but it is coming back for sweeps. Everyone knows the O.C. is back in November with the Killers making an appearance, v exciting! And American Dreams just started a couple weeks ago so that is also v exciting.
That's it for now. s'later.

It's a hot one. And a smelly one. I found a family of skunks puttering around the yard today and dad took the hose to them so now it smells disgusting. And we have to keep the windows open because of the heat....so annoying.
Well, I went to 2 concerts last week and both were free. Although I am starting to feel bad about going on the guest list for Guster. Partly because I want a ticket stub, and also because there is never that many people out at the Vancouver shows. Except for stupid drunk Americans. I'm just kidding. Some of you can be ok. Except for this one giant of a man with glasses who thought he was at a rave or something. Maybe he was having a religious experience through Guster. I don't know.
SO, the concerts were Sloan (VIP show at Sonar on July 15th) and Guster (at Dick's on July 18th). Both kicked my ass. And both should be back soon. I know Sloan will, but Guster may take awhile. That show might require me driving to Seattle. ugh.
Baseball is basically over. Just have provincials in August and then I can put this year behind me. Hockey is still going. Getting better, but I did break my ass last week. Very painful. Starting to play more tennis and swim more because it's uber hot out.
To my surprise, my pictures from the Sloan and Guster concerts turned out awesome. And from Costco of all places. Always use atleast a 400 film for concerts.
Guster is on Leno tonight (with Joe Pisapia backing them up on geetar) so I'm gonna go get ready for that. They are on Creggers on Thursday night too. Wooo Guster.

Wow. It's been quite some time since I last wrote in here. I've been reading a great series by Lousie Rennison about a 14-year-old british girl and it made me want to start writing in this again. Go figure.
The last 24 hours have been great ones. First, the Canucks upped their lead to 3 games to 1 vs the Wild. Second, Dallas strengthed their game because had they lost, they would have been O-U-T! Now they are just down 1 game, and if Vancouver can come back 3-1, so can Dallas.
I finally figured out how to work my DVD player. Stupid RCA TV. Who ever figured out that you need to turn your tv (if it's rca) to channel 91 should get a raise.
Shit. Braves just lost.
There most likely will be no more bashing of dumb friends here because I no longer speak with dumb people. Well, that is a lie. But we all know what happened when I spoke poorly of people last time...they were offended. Freedom of speech anyone? However, if something utterly heinous does arise, I will write about it.
Time to watch Four Weddings on DVD. Yay Hugh!!
Sunday, May 12, 2002,04:16 p.m.
OH YEAH!! How could I forget the amazing =w= concert??? Weezer kicked major ass. Pete Yorn was brilliant too. I wish Weezer's set list contained more than like 20 songs. Everyone keeps saying, "And they even played El Scorcho"...yeah the song's good, but it's not their greatest. 'Only In Dreams' was so beautiful though...smoke in the air, blue lighting, and then confetti at the climax of the song. So pretty.
Sunday, May 12, 2002,04:04 p.m.
I think summer has finally arrived! My car said that the outside temperature was 22 degrees...probably a little cooler than that, but there's no bloody wind so I'm very excited. Plus, the pool is almost ready...almost meaning it's up but there's no water or filter in yet.
Concerts...oh yes, last time I wrote I was waiting for the Riff Randells to come to town. They did and it was really good. They had new songs to play because that was when they're EP came out so I think everyone enjoyed it. And last Wednesday I went to FoxFest2 (part of New Music West) to catch Sloan. Sloan played really really well, but the crowd sucked. They were mostly 12-year old girls wearing sum41 tanktops. Not cool.
Whatelse...baseball has started and we are undefeated in the league so that's exciting. Big tournament coming up next weekend. I'm planning on reading the book "About A Boy" by the guy who wrote "High Fidelity". I'd like to read it before I go see it. And I will see it because hi...Hugh Grant is the leading man.
Nothing very exciting happening here otherwise. My kitty is feeling better, hooray!
Friday, February 15, 2002,11:39 a.m.
wow it's been awhile. Hmm...what's new you ask? Well, I had the best Monday EVER last week. I got into an invite only concert with Great Big Sea minus the invite, managed to get front row, and then...and then...I talked with Harold Druken of the Vancouver Canucks. I don't think you can beat that. The concert was bloody amazing, the boys rocked, Alan still remembers me...maybe it's because of what happened in Whistler, and I got to talk with Harold. Great day.
Bad news though, my best friend, Emma, is leaving me in 2 days. She's moving to Ontario for 8 bloody months. Oh well...ROAD TRIP>
Good news though, my other best friend, Tina, is finally coming home in 2 weeks from her year long stint in South Africa. I can't wait.
Bad news though...the Vancouver Giants are sucking...big time. They lost 7-3 last night and let Jeremy Jackson of all people score. Terrible. Oh well. Redlick was in a beautiful fight, although I think he got the worse end of it.
Good news though, Riff Randells are coming to town next month. WOOHOO!!!

Oh yes. Today (aside from my car incident) was a great day. I not only met, but also was introduced to Harold Druken on the Vancouver Canucks. I don't think you know how amazing that is. Harold Druken. DRUKES!!! Thank you Kathy!!!!! You made my day.
Sunday, November 18, 2001,09:33 a.m.
What a crazy dream! I was over at Drukes house, but it was like 4 crazy lofts all above the Starfish Room. His neighbor you ask??? Naslund. Very interesting. Then, all of a sudden we are at my house playing board games with my oma. So great. For some reason though, no Bertuzzi. Hmmm.
Well, my team lost an embarassing 10-1 (at least that was what it was when I left). However, that 1 for us...I SCORED IT!! It was a beautiful one-timer, 2 feet off the ground, overtop the goalie...BEAUTIFUL! The game was good until 5 minutes into the 2nd period. Keep in mind that we were playing a bloddy 'AA' team when we are a 'A' team. Our goalie pretty much lost it at 5-1, I think almost everything went in after that. when it was like 8-1, the other coach was yelling at the ref like, "INTERFERENCE!!!!!!WHERE'S THE CALL??!?!?!?" My coach turns around and yells back to him, "It's fucking 8-1 and your yelling at the ref?" I left early (the game seemed to go on forever..at least an hour and a half...to watch HARRY POTTER!!!
Very good. I think I want to see it on Tuesday. Yes, I do. And, I won a poster too. I sang Spider Man infront of the whole audience. Very exciting.
Thursday, November 8, 2001,09:59 p.m.
what a weekend! After all of it though, I have decided that in order for me to be a rock 'n' roller, I need some of those old school converse shoes. Yep, me wants some of them. If anyone (Kathy) knows where I can get them cheap in the Vancouver area let me know.
I'll put up a full review on Saturday so everyone can read and enjoy. I had such a blast. So much fun. Free Tim's, Olive Garden, Calgary Tower, strippers, Riff Randells AND Chixdiggit! You really can't beat that.
Wednesday, October 31, 2001,11:05 p.m.
Wow. 11 days since my last entry and nothing spectacular has really happened. Well, that's not true.
I am so excited to be going to Calgary this weekend to visit my friend. We will have a blast. I've been stranded at the Calgary airport, but I've never been in the city of Calgary. Should be fun.
Last Saturday my team (Ponies) finally beat the Force, 1-0, and I assisted on the goal. WIT WOO. Plus I just found out that my team will now be play at the Colliseum, home of the Giants...and former home of the Canucks. How exciting.
Sloan is here on the 9th with the Flashing Lights. That should be an amazing show. I just watched Sloan on Open Mike and they were all wearing animal mascot costumes. Chris was a moose, Pat was a raccoon, Jay was a fox, and Andrew was a shark. It was so hilarious.
Oh, the Giants traded my favourite player, Paul Deniset, to the Prince Albert Raiders. What the fuck is that all about?!
Saturday, October 20, 2001,03:17 p.m.
Well, I didn't get to meet Todd Bertuzzi. Or Harold Druken. Shitty. However, I did chat with Wil Sasso, Trevor from Soul Decision, John Shorthouse, and 8 really mean Vancouver Giants. The Giants are goin' down. Wouldn't even give me $2 for a program. Just terrible.
I can't believe the Braves lost last night. They better win tonight or I'll have to put up with my dad bragging about retarded Arizona. Sometimes I think they play one shitty game in a playoff series, just as a teaser...and then they almost always (except in the actual world series game 7) come back and take it all. My Braves shorts are in the mail. I am so excited!!!!
Now the Flashing Lights are opening for Sloan. How huge is that?!?!?!?! And then Reel Big Fish are coming to town...and so is Joel Plaskett (Thrush Hermit fame), and I'm going to Calgary for the 2nd annual Chixdiggit Pub Crawl. It's going to be a blast!
Well we play Killarney tonight. I better go find my boxing gloves so I can pound the shit out of some dykey loser (***bring it on quote***).
Sunday, October 7, 2001,02:05 p.m.
First home game, and we lost 1-0. We just can't score first or win. What's wrong with us? I did get a roughing penalty with less than a minute left in the game so that was exciting. If you're small, and are pissing everyone off the whole game, you're going to get leveled, and I'm going to level you. So I did, but she hit back so it was coincidental. Whatever. I just wish more than ten people would show up to our games. It's insane.
And what is up with Buffy?? That was the creepiest episode ever. Willow killing a baby dear, those bikers with pieces of leather pulling their faces back. Jesus, I hope it's not always like that.
I expected a lot more from SNL last night. I thought that with Stiffler and Sum 41 on it would be hilarious. Stiffler was barely on the show. That blond girl was in atleast 3 skits...and she's not even one of the starring comedians.
Friday, October 5, 2001,02:24 p.m.
Oh to spend Thanksgiving with Hawksley and Mr Lonely. "Don't throw out the bones, I like to make soup with them". I can see Mr Lonely cutting a mean turkey.
Yep, that was the best concert I've ever been to. Lily Frost was very annoying. I hope she doesn't act like that around her friends. I know, I know. It's her stage presence. Well it's annoying. Good thing I didn't have to sit through her whole set.
Drummer, pianist, guitarist, singer...entertainer. Yes, I think entertainer somes up Hawksley best. This man is utterly amazing. You haven't witnessed pure talent until you see him perform. And not just Hawksley. You need to see The Wolves too. They are so tight. Unbelievable. He needs to make a live cd.
*sigh* Thank you cfox for bringing him to me twice now.
Thursday, October 4, 2001,02:56 p.m.
WOW! What an exciting day. Not only did I get to see Hawksley Workman (I'll be seeing him later tonight too) and a couple chimpanzees...I just finished talking to Dane Cook on msn messenger!
For those of you who aren't my sister, Dane Cook is this hilarious comedian who has appeared on Letterman, Leno, Urban Rush, and in Ben Stiller's "Mystery Men" (He plays "The Waffler").
I'm just trying to decide what to wear for the concert tonight. I think Hawksley was intrigued with my Iceland shirt. I don't think I'll wear it though.
I picked up my movie pass for "Corky Romano" today *You guys want some cookies?* ahahahahahahahhaha Can't WAIT!!!!

FOAD
I was just watching the FOAD part of Ed's Big What Bam. This guy wrote to Ed saying that Much can FOAD because they never play his request and always play Britney. What does he request? Fuckin' Eminem. What an idiot.
Then Ed went on to say how stupid people who put bumperstickers on there car are. Whatever. My "got aloha?" sticker kicks ass.
So far my team is 0-2. Yes. We are great. Oh, and I got in a fight with one of coaches. Good fun. I just won't talk to him EVER!
I was planning on going to Halifax on Friday, but now it looks like I'm not. Shitty. Oh, and a girl on my team knows some of the Giants. I'll let you know how the parties are.
Sunday, September 30, 2001,01:12 a.m.
Get this. I just found out that the team I coach in hockey is going to be selling programs at a Canucks game. How fuckin cool is that?! We even get a tour of GM Place. I wonder if we get to meet the team????? Oh my god. "Oh hey, Todd. How's it goin'? Where are your teeth?" "Drukes, why do you hide your accent so much. You need to slow your speech down a bit. You're starting to sound a wee bit crazy"
Could you imagine me meeting the Canucks??? I'm totally doing that thing at BC Place where you pay like $7 or whatever to get your photo taken with a canuck. Oh man. LOVE THEM!!! NAZZY!!!! Words can't even describe.
First hockey game of my season is tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it goes. Our new jerseys look brilliant, by the way.
Friday, September 28, 2001,06:16 p.m.
I FOUND MY KEYS!!! How exciting. What better way to celebrate than to sell drink tickets at the RGIH fundraiser tonight!! Yeehah.
I have to get my Sloan ticket in the next few days. I doubt it will sellout though. I spent over 5 hours making 6 cds today for a friend of mine. Poor computer.
Friday, September 28, 2001,12:06 a.m.
I bought the coolest thing today. It's a tennis-softball. A tennis ball the size of a softball. I only wish I had $40 to waste so I could buy the basketball size tennis ball at sportchek. That thing was so fuckin cool.
I get to sell drink tickets to a bunch of hockey parents at a dance tomorrow night. Great fun to be had by all. I better get some tips. I'll set up a tip jar, only I'll use a party cup...cuz it's a partay!
Nothing exciting happened today. With the purchase of me Lucky Charms I got a "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" cd-rom, full version! I doubt if I make it to $1000.
We're not all Paddy's
Wednesday, September 26, 2001,11:08 p.m.
WIT WOO!! Sloan is coming to town November 9th!!! Too bad it's at the Croatian Cultural Center. Sucky deal. Some more good news...Hawksley is going to be Vicki Gabereau so hopefully I can get tickets for that taping. We shall see.
Some bad news...I can't find my friggin' keys. That's really bothering me. Seriously they are no where to be found. The last time I used them was Saturday for Brandon's hockey game. I haven't seen them since. I only noticed Tuesday though.
Love Cruise is getting interesting. I wish Boob McGee would stop crying though. Call the waaaaaaaaambulance. And Team Guido came 4th tonight in the Amazing Race. That pissed them right off. I'm just glad the old couple is still in it. Very exciting.
Wednesday, September 26, 2001,01:23 a.m.
PARTY AT TINA'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I'm just joking. That made no sense. Sorry for bringing you into this, Tina.
If anyone is bored of reading my diarya, check out Wil Wheaton's blog. It's super funny. Yes, Will Wheaton from Stand By Me fame and StarTrek. Uncle Willie.
